Historically the vision for Church of England schools has been to serve their local community by ensuring that all children regardless of background have access to a quality education underpinned by Christian values. Today, this vision still holds true for us at Whitewater C of E Primary School.
The values of Fellowship, Creativity and Courage guide the decisions we make whilst we strive to create a School where children can flourish academically, socially and morally.
One of our goals is for children to not only feel love for themselves but for others and the world around them: To have high levels of self-esteem and show tolerance, compassion and fellowship to others.
We strive for our children to be creative thinkers and active citizens, where they understand that they have the power to positively impact the lives of others within our school and the wider community. Ultimately, we hope that our children will be curious, self-motivated members of society who embrace challenge and overcome barriers wherever they can.
We also look to instil a sense of courage in our children. At its best, Learning is hard; it is challenging and full of mistakes and obstacles. We encourage our children to be brave and to know that mistakes are expected, respected and part of the learning process, both inside the classroom and throughout our lives.
The hopes and aspirations that we have for your children are conveyed through our bespoke curriculum and Collective Worship. Both help to equip the children with knowledge, skills and learning behaviours that will serve them well throughout their lives: They help to provide opportunities to question, reflect, evaluate and gain a sense of awe and wonder from the world around us.
