Dream catching
Good Morning Foxes!
It is lighter much earlier in the mornings now so many of us are waking up earlier to the accompaniment of lots of very loud and cheerful birdsong! How are we all after another night of sleep?
In native Native American Indian culture, 'dream catchers' , such as our blog image today, were hung above the beds of sleeping children to protect them from bad dreams and evil spirits. Legends held that the spider web design of the dream catcher would allow good dreams to pass through and float down the hanging beads and feathers to sleeping children.
What good dreams have you had that you remember? Have you ever made or been given a dream catcher? Why not make one today if you haven't!
Have a good day and remember that tomorrow will be our last blog for a week as we relax for our half-term break. We will be back online on Monday 1st June.
