Before half term we took the children down to the woods but across the fields so they could do a journey stick walk.  As they walked they collected natural items to attach to their stick that interested them.  We saw some many examples of spring and it was a glorious day.  Once at the woods the children made their clay lobster figures and their natural shelters for them to go in.
