Respect

Happy Friday Foxes!

Our whole-school value for this half term is 'RESPECT'.

'a strong feeling of admiration or approval of somebody/something because of their qualities or achievements'

Why do you think that respect is an important value for us to practise and  live by as a school and as individuals?

Can you tell us about the respect that you experience around you and perhaps how you think you show respect?

Have a think and get back to us.

Enjoy your day!

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B Respect was a quick and easy one to think of for me and my mum here is some, Respect is about valuing the needs of other people, Caring/showing that they care about their feelings, Being mindful towards them, Understanding them, Showing that they have their back whenever they need it, They always listen to them and their opinions, Always showing kindness to others, And saying that they are awesome when they are feeling left out, Have a lovely day and weekend, this week has gone so fast me and my mum. I will speak to you next week.

HI there James, wow - some fantastic and deep thinking going on around respect. Thank you! I really like the idea of respect being 'having someone's back whenever they need it'. I am sure your friends will be really happy to hear that and benefit from your caring support. This week has gone quickly and we now have the weekend to enjoy too! Have a good one and we look forward to speaking with you next week.

Hi Ela, being polite and listening are brilliant ways to show respect. It's lovely to hear that you make sure that you respect animals too, as well as your family and friends. We are all good here, thank you Ela, and hope that you have a fab weekend!

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B, I think that respect is about thinking about other people's decisions and opinions. You could show respect by helping someone, like opening a door for them. From Esme

Hi Esme, it is a real skill to be able to always hold other people in mind and care about their decisions and opinions. There are so many people showing respect by helping others at the moment - it really demonstrates just how wonderful human beings can be, when they try! Take care,
