The Greatest Showman – A Million Dreams

Do you think it is a good idea to sometimes dream?

Is it pointless to dream about things that are unrealistic?

Is it possible to have a perfect world?

Right now I am dreaming of normality where my daughters can socialise with their friends, make new friends, enjoy new experiences and develop relationships with different adults and children. I dream of being in school with a classroom full of children with us laughing and learning. I am also dreaming of sitting on white sand with the warm sea lapping against my feet as I hear the birds calling one another in the sky.

Hello Mr G, I think it’s great to dream in this hard time or not because in this situation you can’t see your friends so you can dream about so many things that you and your friends could be doing together. I also don’t think that it’s pointless to dream about unrealistic things because it gives your mind a chance to go wild and dream about anything. I don’t think you could have a perfect world because it’s like the saying that “nobody is perfect” All I would say is “DREAM BIG and MAKE IT HAPPEN”

Hello Red Kites, I think it is good to dream because it can make you feel good. I think it is good to dream about things that are not realistic, because i do it all the time! I hope you are all well Isla

Hi we have worcked out names for the four remaning chicks. Zacharys is called Pidove, Mum and Dads is called Red Wine, Noahs is called chippy and mine is called flutter. I definitely think it is good to dream because in these situations you can't see the outside world so if you dream of it it is like you are there. I always dream of things that are unrealistic because you never know what might happen.

Hi Mr G I definitely think that it's a good idea to sometimes dream because dreams can make you feel better: for example, if your feeling sad and dream about something amazing it can brighten your mood. Although, saying this, dreams can also make you feel upset or scared because you can also have nightmares. Another reason dreams are good is because blind people dream so when they fall asleep they can dream about the world and what it looks like. Also, my mum and I have a dream holiday destination(Hawaii) and when we just talk about it, it makes us feel happy and cheerful. I don't think it is pointless to dream about unrealistic things because sometimes the unrealistic thing are the best to dream about: for example, you might dream about being a celebrity and that's pretty unrealistic but it can be exciting/fun to dream about. To answer your last question, first of all what is a perfect world? I think that a perfect world is different to everyone so you can only answer that question with what you think is a perfect world. For me, a perfect world is a world without illness, crime and without fear so because this is my perfect world it won't be possible for me to have but someone else's perfect world might be possible. From Freya

I love to day dream about my special world where everything is made out of sweets and sugary stuff. You can get there in a suger cane train. Also there are a lot of little people which have top hats and candy floss for their beards that do funny little gigs where ever they go. I like to dream because it keeps my mind busy and healthy and helps me to destress and to get some time away from my worries. It would be hard to get a perfect world because nobody is perfect and you would get bored with it and not have anything to challenge yourself with.

Hi Luke! Very true - you never know what might happen. It is bizarre to think that it is SATs week yet none of us are in school. Great names! I like your mum and dad's name the best!

Hi Freya! I can hear your voice with every word you write! Very reflective about people who cannot see -and I always say that nobody knows what another person sees. We just think what we see is normal. Mrs Miles didn't know that I was colour blind and I do not know the difference because it is all I know. Hawaii would be fantastic right now wouldn't it. You have got me thinking of it now too! Very wise to have a world without illness, crime and fear. I wonder what the nurses, scientists, police officers, lawyers and judges would do instead?

Hello Trist! Mr Ralph has one of those plastic spiders in school and whenever I am in his class I get a fright and think of you! My dream right now is us to be dressed in top hats and eating candy floss! Keeping your mind busy is a great way of looking at it - it is lovely to whisk yourself away when things are tricky or you have worries but do not forget that there are always people to listen if you want to chat about anything :) Very true! A perfect world would mean no struggles and therefore no wonderful moments that were unexpected!
