Red Kites - Friday 24th April

The Clock Tower that holds Big Ben or Elizabeth Tower as it is now known is so iconic all over the world. If you asked anyone in the world what came to their mind when they thought of England, most would say Big Ben. The tower was designed by Augustus Pugin. 

Thought of the day:

Pugin created the largest clock in the world - if you could invent something that would make life easier for people what would you invent?

    Hi everyone, there are many things that i would invent but for the benefits of the NHS i would invent a machine that would come up with a vaccine when they want it like for Covid - 19. Tomorrow , we will be checking the pheasant eggs with a candeler which sees through the eggs and checks if there is a chick in there or if it is not working. If that does happen we need to chuck them away before they explode. Yesterday, when dad was cleaning his cars he found a wren nest in the back tyre so i might be able to put my camera trap out and see them so hopefully i can keep updating you with them too.

    Hi Mr G If I could make an invention to make life easier, I would make a vaccine vending machine. My machine would take a sample of your blood and either make a vaccine for a disease you might have, or a vaccine to prevent you from getting other diseases. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!     Hi Mr.G and Red Kites, If I could invent something that would be helpful for the world I would invent....... "THE MEAL MAKER" It would be a machine that you program eg. TACOS and you put all the ingredients into it and out the other side of the machine comes out your meal! It would be so useful!!!!!!! Isla

    Hi Luke, Checking the pheasant eggs sounds very exciting. Fingers crossed! The wren nest suggests how little we are driving nowadays - an extraordinary find. I look forward to the updates next week.

    Hi Freya, Great idea! An instant process for vaccines is one that we could do with right now. I am sure that scientists are working so hard around the world to find a solution as soon as they can. Just as they did with the flu vaccine historically. The study of science is incredible and such an interesting career path. Have a great weekend!

    Hi Isla, An instant food machine with the option of any ingredients. I am now feeling very hungry! It would be really good if it could understand the right portion size and balance of the food groups too - so useful! Have a good few days.
