Red Kites - Tuesday 21st April

Sunny Tuesday

Hello all,

Thank you so much for your comments in the last 24 hours. It was brilliant to hear what you had all been up to.

As you can see, I am trying hard to grow these sunflowers with some success. They were planted later than yours so they will need longer! Every plant, flower and tree is very different. If you could be a flower, plant or tree, what would you be and why?

Update me and let me know!

Have a great Tuesday.

Hi Mr Grinham! Hi Red Kites! I hope you all are well and surviving homeschool! I wouldn't like to be a weed or tree because I wouldn't like to be cut down. My mum says that you shouldn't pick wild flowers, so I would like to be a bluebell. Before lockdown, we got four new hens. Mine's called Henrietta!!! Yesterday, we collected a soft egg (an egg with a soft shell) it was strange. I've been doing P.E with Joe (not the red kites Joe. Hi Joe!) it's really fun, if you haven't done it yet you should try it! I'm missing you all and hope to see you all soon! Caitlin :)

Hello to all,my favourite flower is amazingly (you would never guess) the Anthurium otherwise known as ...the flamingo flower! Look it up and you will see what I mean. I can't wait to get one so I can grow it! (>-<) Hope you all had a good day. Tristan

Hi Mr Grinham I am already a flower! On my first birthday my Nanna gave me a rose she had named after me: it's called the Freya Diane Rose. It's pale pink and there is now a massive bush of it in my Nanna's garden. Every year I take a photo next to it! You can see it grow throughout the years!! Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon! From Freya

Hello Henrietta! Welcome to Red Kites! I bet the soft shell was strange - brilliant to see and experience something unusual. Keep going with the active morning with Joe - a great way to start each day!

Hi Trist, I never knew that plant was known as a flamingo flower - thank you for educating me!

Hello Rose flower, That is a truly lovely story and it will be special to look back on those photos and compare them in the coming years. Similarly, I gave my mum a rose tree for her birthday in the same year that Ellie was born so that too will grow with her - I might magpie your idea and do a photo each year!

Hello Mr. G My flower is amazing. I haven't got a name for it yet but I will probably think of one soon! My sunflower is getting bigger and bigger every day! If I was a plant I would like to be a flower because you are not meant to pick them. Also I wood live in the wood by a big bush so nobody will step on me because I won't like to be stepped on! Isla

Hi Mr G, I would love to be a cherry blossom tree because that means I could basically be a flower and a tree at the same time. I would not like to be a weed because it can really annoy people and I do not like to annoy people (P.S: my sister is really annoying).

Hi, Mr G. I'm surviving at home and am cycling to Stonehenge and running to Winsor using the garden and an exercise bike. We are not able to leave the house as my dad is in full lockdown. I have been doing my work in different places like the den, the garden, my room and the office. One day we even put a blanket over the trampoline and we were in there. I would like to be a tulip because they come in many bright colours. I'm learning Aurebesh. Bye for now. Seb
