The Art curriculum will actively support the growth of the Whitewater Learner whilst ensuring children become proficient in a range of art and craft techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, printing, textiles and digital media.

The Whitewater Artist will know about a range of artists, craft makers and designers in order to inspire their own works of art, craft and design. We are developing learning journeys that follow the steps of develop, refine, record and present which equips children with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own art work.

Our Art curriculum intents to offer children the opportunity to appreciate how art and design shapes our history and contributes to our every day culture.

At Whitewater, we have designed our Art and Design curriculum on a two-year cycle. The Roadmap shows the journey that our children take as they progress through school. Our Art and Design curriculum is progressive, broad and engaging.
