World Refrigeration Day 26th June

Happy Friday Foxes!

Yesterday was an absolute scorcher and today takes us to the absolute opposite end of the heat spectrum - World Refrigeration Day!

Just imagine what our lives would be like without refrigeration.

Why not investigate what refrigeration is and how it is achieved.  Perhaps think about how different your house might look and feel without this amazing process being harnessed in our homes. Explore its impact on the food we eat and the food industry.  What about its uses in our healthcare system ? Get those brilliant brains ticking over and share your thoughts and interesting facts that you might find out today.

Enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend!

Hello peeps, I looked into what refrigerators are used for in hospitals. They are used to keep drugs like antibiotics and vaccines cold to stop them going off. They are also used to keep blood and tissue samples cold. They are used to keep organs in good condition for transplants. I know someone who has had an organ transplant and he would probably not be alive if we didn't have fridges and freezers. Refrigeration is used for air conditioning to keep the hospital cool. They use fridges and freezers in hospitals for keeping food safe and fresh. They also use it to keep gases as liquids so that they can store more. These are then used for anesthetics for keeping people asleep in operations. Hope you all ha e a nice weekend and keep safe,
