National School Sport Week At Home 2020 and how are those sunflowers doing?

Happy Friday Foxes!

Next week, beginning tomorrow 20th June, marks National School Sport Week At Home.

The UK-wide campaign will challenge everyone to take on their families, friends and neighbours in virtual sporting challenges – helping us all  to connect and have fun together in this very different time of social distancing.  Visit these sites to find out more about the week and the 'events' that they are planning that you could take part in.

What home sporting challenge could you perhaps organise or take part in virtually in or from your home next week. What ideas could you come up with?  Looking forward to hearing from you!

How are all your sunflowers doing now - especially with all the rain that we have had? It would be lovely to have some pictures.

Have a good weekend and rest up ready to be 'sporty' active next week!

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B Me my mum and my sister are all bike riding 100km in all of June and in July we might do 200 or 150km we are still choosing but of course we need to finish this challenge 1st to see if we want to continue for July. Also we have done 49.2 km now yesterday we have done 10.1km in total because it was raining we had to take our own different route which we just went down Tylney hill and went the same route back which made us all collapse into our beds immediately. Have a lovely weekend and i will talk to you on the next blog

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B, I could do bike rides, paddle boarding, kayaking. I didn't get a sunflower because I was off school, but I am growing cumbers. They are not growing that well! From Esme

Hi Ela, it's a shame that your sunflower does not have a 'flower' but it makes up for it in height by the looks of it! So glad to hear that you are being so active - the skateboarding is very impressive. You stay safe too!

Hey there James - great to hear from you. You clearly are a very fit cyclist and you are setting a brilliant example by challenging yourself to try and do more. Well done! I'm not surprised that you were tired yesterday! Keep up the good work and have a lovely weekend.

Hi there Oliver! What a good idea to create a course for your family to try - let us know how they get on. Perhaps you could try and measure how high your magnificent sunflower is? Have a great weekend.

Hi Esme - it's great hear that you are doing such an interesting mixture of activities. We wonder why your cucumbers aren't doing that well...? Perhaps because there has been so little rain up until now? Have a lovely weekend and thanks for keeping in touch.
