Monday 1st June

Another Sunny day!

So we are now into the month of June! I know that for some of you it is a very important month because it is your birthday. So don't forget to let us know how you celebrate. I am celebrating the fact that I managed to see the blue tit chicks taking their first flight out of our bird box. The first one managed it quite well but the second one fell out of the box! It fell to the ground and took two days to actually fly successfully.  It's parents and my family kept an eye on it  but it had a growth mindset and  it kept practising. Let me know what you have been practising this week. Is there something that you would like to get better at?

Good Morning, This week Lex has been practising picking up chickens! we have fostered three chicks (although they are not quite as small and yellow as i thought they were going to be!) from Millers Ark Farm. Lots of fun learning how to feed, care, hold, and put them safely on his lap. Our task is to keep up the cuddles so they can be handled when the farm opens again. We have named them chicken licken, grey and jack.... Chicken licken likes cuddles the most and follows Lex around the garden!

Hi Lex, How wonderful to be looking after some chickens for Millers Ark Farm and I am sure it won't be too long before the children who will go and visit them will appreciate your hard work. I love the names that you have chosen for them. It made me laugh thinking of you with Chicken Licken following you, I hope you take a photo so that I can see it. From Mrs Proctor
