That special friend...

Good morning All!

Another bright sunny day to help keep us all happy and active. Please do let us know how your sunflowers are enjoying all this fantastic growing weather.

We thought about our whole-school value of friendship last week.  Today we are wondering who is or has become a special friend to you?

Who might you choose to go on a quiet walk with?

Who would you like to  invite to tea?

Our friends give us so much comfort and love. Just spend a few minutes today thinking about them and why we are thankful to have them in our lives.

Enjoy your day and remember to lend a hand to help those around you who are busy looking after you!

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B My special friend is my mum because we always go on bike rides and walks together. When we are out of lock down I would like to see my friends again. I hope you enjoy the Lemon Drizzle cake :)

Hello everyone, If I could go on a quiet walk with a friend I would go with a friend in Italy 🇮🇹 called Allesandro 🧑🏻 because I have known him for a very long time and our Mums went to primary together and we love playing together. We trust and help each other. At the moment we chat on zoom and play video games together. If I could invite someone to tea it would be another Italian 🇮🇹 friend called Giulio 👱🏼‍♂️ we like to play football together and talk about star wars a lot and we are kind to each other and to his little brother who also likes to join in. Best wishes, Johnny👦🏼

Hi Jacob! We're not surprised that you would choose Evan, Zac, Harry and Henry. You are all great fun and a really loyal bunch of mates in school and it must be really hard for you all to be apart for the time being. Thanks for sharing those 'friendly' thoughts.

Hi Esme, you see strange times can result in even stranger things happening - such as realising that our brothers and sisters can be people to have fun with! It is good for us all to count our blessings at times, especially when times are different or difficult and it sounds like you are doing just that! Take care,

Morning James! This is a special time to be even closer to our families and carers. I'm sure your friends at school will appreciate you mentioning that you are missing them too. James - what can I say? Guess whose turn it is to work from home today and will have to imagine a huge slice of delicious lemon drizzle cake? Mrs L:/ However, the lovely thought and care you took by making it is making me feel very happy :) Thank you, James! Mrs L

Hi Johnny, Allesandro and Giulio sound very special to you. It is really important that we can trust our friends and rely on them to help us. In turn, they know that we are there for them, whatever may happen. It's good to hear that you share the same interests and that you also let younger siblings join in (even if they can be a bit trying at times!). Hopefully, it won't be too long before you can all be together again. Have a lovely day and take care,

I really miss meeting with all my friends but especially with Chyna and Evie, they are so much fun to be around. I can not wait to meet them for a picnic/tea. I like chatting to my friends on facetime but it's not the same thing. My sunflower is growing really fast, we planted it in our flowerbed in the garden. I will send photos soon. Stay Safe, Ela

Hi Ela, lovely to hear from you today! We're sorry that you are missing Chyna and Evie - I expect they are feeling the same way too. You are fortunate to be able to facetime but we agree, it's not the same as spending time with your friends. Looking forward to seeing your sunflower photos! Bye for now, Ela.
