What's new?

Good Morning Foxes!

Following on from our suggested home learning activity today, what items in the news  have been catching your eyes or ears recently?

For example, this odd piece of news that we came across on https://uk.reuters.com/

We didn't realise that there are such things as cat cafes!

Looking forward to hearing from you and have a good day.

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B Nothing really have caught my eye but there is only 1 thing that has, which is the cat cafe opening up in BanKok. 1 of my dreams are actually going to a cat cafe because I love cats and I want to know what’s it like in there with all the cats chilling and wanting to get stroked.

Hello Mrs B and Mrs L something that has been catching my eye is that thousands of homeless people are back on the streets by July in the UK I came across this piece of news at. >> https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52915913 It tells me that the virus is going to spread more rapidly 😒 witch causes us to properly stay in our houses for a lot longer.

Morning James! The cat cafe story was a lovely pleasant surprise. We really like the idea of dog cafes too - how about you? Remembering how cute the meerkat was that visited us when we were studying the rain forest (Fox Class) and Savanna (Hedgehog Class)? How about a meerkat cafe ? A down side might be the smell - do you remember what it smelt like?!

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B, All my dad has been listening to is The news about Boris jhonson and yesterday he said that more than 300 people have died of the virus already! From Ela!

Hi there Oliver, unfortunately COVID-19 has had an impact on many people and their lives and the government is working hard to try and look after everyone - not an easy job. Hopefully, if we all continue to keep our (2m) distance, wash our hands and follow advice we can all help towards looking after vulnerable people, staying safe and defeating the virus.

Hi Ela, yes, many people have died and that is very sad. However, we need to remember that fewer people are becoming ill and that we will get through this with everyone pulling together and helping one another. The news item that James mentioned also shows us that there are some things that can make us smile and we enjoy a touch of happiness to see us through!

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B, If I could have a daemon I would have a snow leopard like Lord Asriel's. I have not seen any news that interests me, but on the radio it said that in America they call Covid 19 the China virus which seems a bit unfair. From Esme

Hi Esme! Lord Asriel's snow leopard daemon is very impressive - what a cool companion to have. What is interesting is that children's daemons change but adults' daemons are fixed , perhaps because an adult's character is fully formed and children are developing theirs? It does seem unfair to try and give this virus such a name and it is good that you are thinking about this. Enjoy the rest of your day!
